Our Wonderful Staff

The spirit of love generated by our staff is a large part of the serenity and grace that you feel at Pacific Living Centers.  Each member of our exceptional team is professionally trained to meet the highest standards required in the care of those with Alzheimer's and other dementias.

Whether it is someone who has the early stages of dementia or is approaching end of life, we are committed to the care and well-being of each resident. Each experienced, carefully selected caregiver gets to know all the residents individually, and as there are only 15 residents in our home, this allows a high staff-to-resident ratio.

Our caregivers are alert and awake at all hours providing 24/7 care which permits us to be able to meet the specific needs of each resident more effectively. Our team works very hard every day to improve and enhance each resident's quality of life. You can relax knowing that your loved one is receiving the very best care from highly trained caregivers who love what they do!

Shannon Souza, Administrator

Shannon Souza has a wide variety of experiences in the health care industry. In the past 15 years she has worked as a C.N.A., Home Health Aid, Phlebotomist, Med Aid, Medical Assistant, Assistant Administrator, Administrator and Area Manager.

In those capacities some of her job responsibilities were: resident care, ordering and logging in medications, medication management, giving insulin and doing c.b.g.’s, drawing blood, keeping residents records, hiring, firing and supervising employees, and marketing.

While she was the Area Manager she oversaw eight RCF’s. She also had the opportunity to trouble shoot other RCF’s in the state of Oregon. Part of her responsibilities as a trouble shooter was to maintain compliance with state rules and regulations, and assisted in establishing company policies and procedures.

In November of 2004 Shannon was welcomed as Heritage House’s Administrator for Pacific Living Centers, Inc. She brought with her a wealth of knowledge from her past experiences.

Shannon was certified as an Administrator in 2002 by completing the Oregon Health Care Association “Practicing the Values in Community Based Care”. She continues with her on-going education as required in all areas of her field.
